Meniscal repair / Resection

A common injury in the knee is a meniscal tear. The meniscus is a type of cartilage that acts as a “shock absorber” in the knee and protects the joint surfaces from wear and damage.

A tear of the meniscus can be painful, and causes locking, catching or giving way of the knee. The ideal way to treat this is to repair the meniscus and if this isn’t possible, it has to be resected.
